You better agree with me. My parents really wanted me to take-up dentistry even when I was still in high school. Even though I was the stubborn type, I gave in to their wishes since they’ve been very loving parents. Also, I believe that along with medicine, one of the most desired professions in mankind’s history is dentistry.

But after long years of continuous studies (hey, even at work, people should learn from their everyday activities!) and dental operations that I’ve conducted on my patients, there was still that thought inside my head telling me that something’s still lacking – innovative knowledge and skill to bring the best in me as a dentist! I’m also getting a little bored. What a shame!
 
It was just last year when my Dad and I were looking for a place to stay in Sharjah in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. because of his meeting with client there when everything about my perspective in my field changed. Of course I wanted to take the opportunity to come with him since I’m a foodie (food & travel blogger) and I’m craving for authentic Arab food, not to mention that I was hearing a lot of good things about the city. I’ve already tasted Chinese and Thai cuisine (my fave’s Pad Thai by the way!), Naples’ world-famous Pizza Margarita, and of course, Tokyo’s Octopus Sushi (yum!) – BUT NEVER ARAB FOOD. Let me repeat it: N.E.V.E.R.

And never did I imagine myself being in an audience in a seminar inside an Arab school. And boy, it was a lot of fun (and discovery, of course)!

SULTARC or Sharjah University Laser Training and Research Center is an international school for laser dentistry devoted to conduct research works to contribute to the development of guidelines for the effective usage of laser technology in the Middle East (including topnotch clinical education).

I strongly agree with my colleagues in the seminar that I have attended last Sept. 23-26 that this is the best school in the United Arab Emirates. Why? Have you heard about tooth fairies that little kids are talking about? Yes, the tooth fairy. As I was reading blogs online, I've heard about parents telling their kids to leave a tooth in their pillows so that tooth fairy will pay them money. Others thought that this practice is a blatant way of lying to kids. That's because the tooth fairy is a parent who slips a dollar or more than that in exchange of a tooth that a kid left in his or her pillow.


Well, I'm talking about this because I enjoyed reading dentist blogs and stories about parents bringing their kids to the dentist. Wave Pool At Watercamp Resort in Cavite

My friend Lia's daughter is very excited to enjoy our summer vacation. Nicole knows that were going to the beach. But Lia told me that it's practical to visit one of the best Cavite resorts. When we informed Nicole about it, she felt sad at first, but when we allow her to search online to see Watercamp Resort in Cavite, she became so happy. Now, I'm also very excited to know about the said wave pool. Honestly, I haven't tried swimming in such an addition of facility. Wave pool is nice, I'm sure. Summer Plan For My Family

This time around, I was assigned to plan for our family vacation. Do you remember about my blog post regarding my vacation experience with Myla and Elise? I've written about Watercamp Resort In Cavite As Summer Getaway, remember? Yes. I'm going to plan our family vacation based on such experience. I've decided to let my loved ones stay at the said resort for a three-day summer vacation. Being the famous summer spot, Cavite area, Watercamp Resort is the perfect place to enjoy the summer with my family. Let me share with you the reasons.

First, the said resort is very accessible. If you've been to Bacoor, Cavite, it's easy to access the resort. Just go directly to Kawit, Cavite and choose the road going to Salinas in Rosario, Cavite. Along the way, you'll see the huge mark wherein the way to the resort is located.

Second, the resort offers ultimate fun, excitement and relaxation. Since I've been there last month, my favorite spot there is the 160-meter Lazy River. The whole resort is awesome too! You'll see lots of pictures here.

Finally, the place is also affordable. In all Cavite resorts, Watercamp Resort in Cavite is the most exciting because of its complete and evolving facility. Aside from their nice, affordable and comfortable accommodation, you'll enjoy dining in either Little Josephine Food Service Outlet or Josephine (Kawit) Restaurants.

The Three Courses Offered by SULTARC Last February

I’m happy to share my blog about my friend who attends a medical school in Middle East. I’m not able to email him about my activities here in the country because I was too busy last month. But today, I’ll blog about his email since I’m so amazed of his schooling abroad.

My friend attends a famous Emirates international school at Sharjah University of Laser Technology and Research Center, otherwise known as SULTARC. He wants to take advantage of the latest educational development offered in the field of medicine, the laser technology. I’m not surprised because he usually mentions this to me, especially his plan to study abroad. He told me that last February, he was able to enroll a course relating to Laser in Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery. It consists of comprehensive lectures and practical sessions with clinical training on experimental animals and live operations on patients, which he truly enjoys. I felt his happiness for learning a lot from the said course last month.

I’m sure there are other course offerings that SULTARC is planning for medical students. For those who are interested, you may SULTARC. 

Watercamp Resort In Cavite As Summer Getaway

I’m so thrilled to share my experiences last week. We had a short vacation in the province with friends. Myla, Elise and I have been planning to enjoy summer backpacking. We decided to visit a famous resort outside Manila, a place that could fit a freshwater oasis outside the metro. I’m referring to Watercamp Resort in Cavite as the best summer getaway I’ve ever visited.

I enjoyed my stay at Watercamp Resort with Myla and Elise. I lost my phone memory card so we weren’t able to print pictures of our summer escapade. Nevertheless, I still consider such vacation as the best. In Watercamp Resort, we enjoyed activities such as swimming, boating, bowling, skating, biking and horseback riding which are the major come-ons of the restaurant-resort complex. In our four-day stay in the resort, we decided to stay in one of their rooms within the 20-room inn and four family villas. I must say, it's the best Cavite resort I've ever visited.

The most memorable part in visiting Watercamp Resort was enjoying at the Fisherman’s Wharf outlet wherein we did the catch and grill activity. The idea of catching and then grilling fish is so enticing for me since we love eating seafood. Since our stay in the resort is so memorable, we decided to be back before the summer season ends. Lastly, such short vacation in a famous summer spot, Cavite area is blog worthy.
